The large gap between seasons one and two was explained by showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich by saying that they wanted to 'make sure that everyone on our team gets the time to do their job and do it to the best of their ability. Fans of fantasy drama will be delighted to learn that The Witcher is returning soon for a second season after series one hit our screens back in 2019.
